The short version
CarerMoney is run by [Your name], who is responsible for your information under UK data protection law. You can contact us at [your email address].
CarerMoney is independent. It is not part of the DWP, GOV.UK, the Department for Communities or Social Security Scotland.
Everything you type into the calculator, including your pay, tax, pension and care costs, is worked out inside your own browser. It is not sent to us or anyone else, and it disappears when you close the page.
If you sign up, we collect your email address and which list you joined: rule-change updates, the CarerMoney Plus waiting list, or both.
We use it only to send you what you signed up for. For the waiting list, that means telling you when CarerMoney Plus is ready. We rely on your consent to do this, and you can withdraw it at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or by contacting us.
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
We don't use advertising, tracking cookies or cookie banners.
Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to:
Just email [your email address]. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change is important, we'll email people on our list first.
